Testing
Mechanical testing and analysis is an essential part of proving material is processed correctly and is as specified by the customer. Testing is carried out thruout the processing of the material or components thru to the final product to ensure the mechanical and functional properties are achieved. Destructive testing of the final components tcan be undertaken thru prolongations or sacrificial components.
All materials and components are hardness tested to verify compliance with the customer requirements or NACE guidelines.
All materials are volumetric and surface NDE inspected as required by the customer using Ultrasonic Testing and Magnetic Particle Inspection methods. Premier Alloys works to the customer's specification or, if not available, the Premier Alloys Engineering specifications for the same inspection method. The latest modern ultrasonic inspection instruments are used and Premier Alloys is well equipped with transducers and calibration blocks to fit most material or component shapes or configurations.
